The Community Investment Fund (CIF) was developed by the National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF) as a unique, innovative means for credit unions to serve their members? needs, support programs of the NCUF and provide a source of funding for state credit union foundations.

The Credit Union Foundation of Maryland and the District of Columbia (CUF-MDC) is a participant in the CIF program.  The CUF-MDC program has enjoyed early success and currently ranks in the top percentile of nationwide CIF programs when ranked by assets on deposit.

Special Community Investment Fund Sesson Offered
For Washington, D.C. Area CU's

Members and guests of credit unions in the Washington, D.C. area attended an informative breakfast session on the nationally acclaimed, award-winning Community Investment Fund (CIF) on May 11th.  The CIF is an innovative program developed by the National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF) that allows credit unions to serve their members while also supporting important national and local credit union foundation programs through a shared earnings approach to designated investments.

Steve Delphin, Executive Director of the NCUF and Kyle Swisher, Executive Director of the Credit Union Foundation of MD & DC were joined by Dan Davis of Mid-Atlantic Corporate Federal Credit Union to review this unique investment opportunity for credit unions.
